95 PSD engine problem

Can someone offer a suggestion? I have a 95 Ford
F-350 super cab fwd with about 90K miles.
Ryns beautifully with plenty of power (part of theTime).
Trouble started with ocasional momentary cut-outs.
Then it began to shut down for a second or more
then picking up to run ok.Now it will run fine
for a mile or two, maybe more then suddenly stop.
After repeated cranking it may start and run at idle. Attempting speed up and it quits. I have driven a mile or more at idle and gradually can
pick up speed and run fine for a while.
Any suggestions? One mechanioc suspected the
camshaft position sensor. but would it idle if
that were the problem> Thanks for any help.

I want to express thanks for the good advice.
I bought a new CPS and that solved the problem.
Cost about $150. Sadsack ##### Lewis

That's what I'm thinkin' I don't want to throw salt on a wound, but you got hosed on the CPS. Powerstroke shop dot com has them for $15. Just FYI for the future.

But this warranty thing.........I would like to see some info on that.
