Hi.....As the family grows so must my truck! I need some info on what to look for in the deisel powered trucks.....Sorry, always been a 429/460 guy so far! Anyway, Im looking to buy an F350 4x4 crew cab, could be auto or standard as I will still be keeping my '74 F250 429/4 spd 4x4 for the trailer puller/ranch truck. Any ideas and insight will be much appreciated.....Thanks in advance!
The 99.5 and up Power Stroke Diesels have been working well for most, the change in the turbo and the additon of the intercooler really help power and dependeability is good now that they are properly securing the turbocharger bolts.
the 4R100 automatic is doing well with the trans. cooling setup the factory is using on the diesels. I think you would be happy with it, not worth the bother of rowing a 6 speed stick unless you never get into stop and go driving, traffic jams.
