There is that reference from the Blue Oval News article! Turns out they weren't ticking time bombs and there was no recall!
What news article is that? I didn't get that from any other source, it's just an obvious observation. Time will tell if it's a real problem, not whether Ford decides to issue a recall. I hope for the sake of all the folks out there with C94's that it's not a long term problem but, as I said, I would not have bought one of these motors with them in there.
When value is added I will read...
when it's not I tend not to waste my time...
You seem to have a lot of time on your hands to 'swim upstream"
Some people enjoy that... I feel it takes away more than it adds !
Maybe a new truck is in order... but maybe that won't help either ?
I believe ANY absolute statements made by any of us will be wrong in some cases ! Not ALL of anything is one way or another, there are ALWAYS anamolies...
The "trends" show that the trucks are good, which leads to Ford's BLOWING out the financial analyst's projections by a wide margin...
The trend of your statements are to continually detract...
so nothing personal, but I chose to not listen ...
I've have enough "bad" in my life, now that things are great, I don't go searching it out any longer
And really, this truck is not high on the importance list - it's just a truck !
A GREAT truck for me, but still a truck...

Good Lord, I'd hope so! That was not my point. My point was that you can't say "don't believe what you read here" in one post and say "read all the evidence here to support my opinion" in another. Which is it?
I'm not sure what you're saying. Are you suggesting that I call Ford and ask them for sales numbers and that performing some statistical analysis of sales number vs posts here would have some meaning? Please explain.
Not you call Ford a general statement.
I keep calling all the time
Statistically analysis, well any static can be hedged to who ever is doing it.
13,000 miles and grining ear to ear. had bad injector at 2500 , but otherwise a great truck.. and weighing 6600 lb empty and getting 16MPG can't get that with a duramax or cummins..
Your right my Dmax weighs around 7000# Empty and I typically get 18-20 with the Allison :-)
Another thing to remember is that there are more powerstrokes sold every year than all the other guys put together. They dont even come close. I have an 04 CC King Ranch and I love it. It is my first diesel and I will never go back. These trucks are unbelievable. As with everything there is some risk I think it is very small that you will have any major issues. Every truck I have ever owned has had minor issues. It is rare to get an absolutely perfect vehicle.

JD you are righ. I need to ignore it.
Youd think the Ford legal dept. would do something about that if it's incorrect. People see those sites and I think it has a very negative effect on sales.

I have almost 17000 miles on my ticking time bombs. In my last Blackstone report they said I had no fuel in oil, appeared to have good injectors and a good engine.
I guess that is having my head in the sand. I don't think so.
Absolutely incorrect, did you read all there is, over 7k worth of words, then you would know that there are far more with no problems than with. It is well documented in this area that the numbers of great trucks with no problems are NOT represented. That is a fact!
Sorry to disagree with your view of this truck.
I am not attacking you merely stating a point.
I love my truck and yes it has had a few issues, all have been fixed.
Mine is one of the quote "bad" ones.
Whoa, whoa. You misunderstand me, Tim. I never stated, or even implied, my opinion of a 6.0. In fact, I didn't state anything at all. I cited a couple examples of problems people here are discussing to illustrate my question, but I never said anything, good or bad, about the 6.0.
All I was doing was fishing for information, honest!

Sorry about the double post earlier. Flaky wireless problems to blame there.
Secondly, and speaking of trading first wives in, it's been my experience that there are some people who just aren't happy no matter what happens, no matter how their vehicle performs, or no matter how nice you are to them. Some people's jobs in life seem to be to find problems with everything.
19000 miles and still driving it like it was stolen!! The truck tows better than my 7.3 did and will run circles around the 2000 f250 I traded in. Satisfied, you bet. Would I buy another even after reading all the bad reports, yes. I believe there are faulty 6.0s, but I also believe they are a small percentage. I would believe if you could calculate the availability / dependability numbers of a 6.0 against most other motors the numbers would be comperable.
Now back to the thread- -small likely hood of problems.
