I belive that the diff disconects from the front drive shaft and the half shafts free wheel at the diff i have tried to find manual lock hubs and can't i can usually find anything

k+n plus remove silencer tube +.75 mpg
tonnuo cover +1.75mpg
synthetic 5w20 +.5mpg
just installed bbk underdrive pulleys havent run enough to give a number yet
yes I can actually check it close enough to say .5mpg increase drive 3tanks take average. i drive over 700 miles per week make change every other week 2.19/gal is killing me
You're right Camille, the front end is a center axle disconnect. The half shafts are connect by vacuum motor when you throw the truck in 4HI. The gear set is a reverse cut 8.8."
I've heard rumors that Curry and a few other companies where in the works of implementing a SAS kit. There would be two types, one would have a rebuilt to your specs axle in it (pretty pricey) the other kit you'd supply the donor axle. Haven't seen anything, just rumors.
