Lockout Hub replacement

Does anyone have a recommendation or comments on replacement 4x4 lockout hubs for my 1992 F-150.
I have been getting a lot of heat buildup in the hubs when I am in 2wd even tho' I should have the hubs disengaged.
What I think I want to do is replace the auto-lockouts with manual-lockouts.
Anyone have any helpful hints?
Thanks!

A guy I work with is getting ready to do this. He had to buy the hubs, and also he found out he is going to have to get the spanner nuts and locking washer from Ford to complete the installation.

I would highly recommend that you do it. Less wear on the parts, and the assurance that they really are locked in when you need them, and stronger. I would go with the Warn premiums. They also sell the auto-manual conversion kit. http://www.warn.com

As Katt said go with the Warns, I put them on the truck and noticed my bearing grease wasn't as nasty after drivin to and from the 4x pits here. Also I noticed a small increase in fuel mileage, cause i wasn't pushin all the extra stuff. Hope this helps.

I agree the Warn premium hubs are "nice". But the regular Warn hubs that are about half plastic, are CRAP. I threw mine in the trashcan, and threw on a set of Super Winch all metal hubs. I was surprised, they are flawless in operation! Being all metal, they are far less likely to break. I couldn't believe they only costed $60 (the same price warn wants for crappy plastic hubs)!! I go muddin quite often in my 78 250 4x4, so they've survived the torture test. I've seen MANY warn hubs break at the mud pit! If I ever destroy these hubs, I'm going to strap on a set of the expensive Mile Marker Gold hubs. They are undoubtedly the best on the market in my eyes.
