My wife backed my truck into a fire hydrant and bent my exhaust. Some I am taking this opportunity to replace my exhaust. Flowmaster recommended the cat back 70 series. I am wondering if anyone else is running this system on their v10 and what they think of it?
From the setups I've seen and heard, the 40 series is a throatier sound, the 70 series is noticible, but not 40 series noticible. Be forewarned the v10 sound nothing like a v8, it's another kind of animal.
I just ordered the aeroturbine with their resonator for my V10 02. I'll post my opinion in a few weeks. From their website, and as well as in the Dodge forums, its becoming a popular exhaust. Check it out and see what you think. I also ordered a k&N FIPK, so my motor will breath and exhaul better.
I've had a 70 series on mine for about a year now. It's quiet....real quiet....probably too quiet.
Well I went the other way, and trust me, I'd rather be in your shoes. I tried the FlowTech AfterBurner, it's loud, has a raspy sound, and an awful resonance in between 55 and 65 with 3.73 gears, which is right where I drive of course. At full throttle and at idle it's awesome, but everywhere else, as the say in Texas=El PASS-o.
I sure will post my results as soon as I get them. This week is going to be busy with the new fiberglass top, K&N FIPK and the aeroturbine. By the way, Mossygoose, I bought a resonator from Aeroturbine along with muffler. Im not into sound, strictly performance.
I have a FM 40 on my truck and love the sound. I can not notice it from the inside of the cab with the windows rolled up, and the tires singing. I will say it does no sound like an 8 but so what in 20 years people will wish there rigs sound like they do now!
Had the Aero-Turbine installed today and it sounds good. Not real loud but a good tone. With the windows up it is not loud at all. Also noticed performance improvements due to free-flowing now.
Hey Moosygoose, I'm getting mine hopefully installed this weekend. I also bought a resonator along with the K&N FIPK. I'll let you know how its works out. Tedmeister

I'm wishing I would have gone with the FM 40 instead of the Flowtech. The design of the FM seems like it would cancel out some of harsh exhaust impulses that my straight thru FlowTech does not. Live and learn, I'm going to find some sort of resonator somewhere to go in behind the muffler, I think it will help. I like most the sounds that come from my tail pipe. The idle is cool, and at WOT it screams, it's just at moderate throttle (right where the fat part of the torque curve is of course) I get a real 'boomy' sound. If I could tame that down a bit I'd be happy. I like loud cars, always have, but that sound I get is irritating, not attractive. I'll fix it and then be back in love with it. Ken
