Installing remote keyless entry?
I've been thinking for sometime that I'd like to install remote, keyless entry in my old (ya know, having to come to the Older, Classic and Antique Section just doesn't seem right...my pickup just doesn't *SEEM* old!) pickup. Has anyone done this? How difficult is it? I haven't really checked into it much, has just been a long time dream. What does the project entail? Thanks in advance for any help.
Also, does anyone know which underbody lights are "okay" (legally. I'm sure the reds, blues, yellows are probably a big no-no?) Thanks again!

Can't Give you too much of the specifics cause I had a knowledgable friend do mine but we found a lot of info on the wiring of the truck on the web. Now that it is is installed along with remote start, I don't know how I lived without it. Good Luck

I put a keyless entry and remote start system in my 89 F150 last year I bought a kit from COmmando and installed it myself not that difficult if you are good at wiring and are comfortable rewiring your truck through a black box, Commando has excellant wiring diagrams if you need them on their website when you buy their kit. All in all it was not as difficult as you would think just know all the details before you start. you will end up with wires going everywhere
