Well, got my first day in and didn't get fired, so I guess I'm off to a good start. Gotta tell though, jeese I'm tired. Didn't get to have my afternoon nap or watch Passions then the Young & Restless. (Is Nick going to take the job with Grace's boyfreind?)
Thanks for all the encouragement and tips (?).
As I was saying - it's only a contract position (open ended, should be good for a year or more though) and it doesn't pay what I was making - but with some careful money mangement, we'll get along fine. Now-a-days, around here anyway - you're lucky to have a job at all.....not like back in the old days, eh Penn Dick. I mind the time..........
Congrats Fergie! I too have BTDT and it's not any fun at all. I also hope that this contract position will work out well - many times they lead to a permanent opportunity and perhaps it will be less stessful. I've another friend here local that went back to work a month or so back after being on the outs side of things for about 11 months and he says he's happier than before even though the $$$ are not as good. He also says its nice to be able to pay the bills and not have to keep dipping into the savings account and that's stress relief in and of itself. Hope this works out well for you - it sure makes the rest of us a little more thoughtful about our own positions!
