After precisely 13 months (to the day) of unemployment, Ferguson777 is no longer a drain on the social safety net system - I'm workin beginning this Friday, June 4th.
Half the level of responsibility and HALF the pay, but enough to pay (all) the bills.
Kenny - 54 F100, 54F100.
Maybe now I'll have more time for the forum.....
To all who offered encouragement and support this past year - Thanks, you were a big help getting through this rough time.
Not bad, Handsome Bob. As I recall, however, you have been working constantly... just not being paid for it. Never giving up is the key... you never gave up. On the other hand, there is no substitute for a paycheck. Congratulations. himmelberg
Congratulations Fergie! You deserve a medal for perserverence. Very, very happy for you as I recall the miserable feeling one can get while unemployed. So, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Their is no replacement to having the feeling of working and knowing that it contributes to the operation of the household and the satisfaction of knowing you did it yourself. Have at it.
Good luck, we have missed your insight and dry wit. Hopefully, your foot into this door on the new job will show them exactly what you can do and they'll promote you to a position worthy of your talents.
It has been awhile since you have had to do this so here are a few reminders.
Set the alarm clock
Eat a good breakfast
DO NOT apply makeup (You can still do this on the weekends)
Pack a lunch and dont forget to put your name on the bag
Leave early
And
Don't let the car follow it's normal route, your not going to the local watering hole.
