Try a "Felpro" valve cover gasket & torque it to spec. You may be plesantly surprised.

I have one on my 3.3L 78 Zypher that has been on there for 18 years now, still leak free. The cork OEM ones would only last about 3-4 years.

Cork is made for stopping up wine bottles, not gaskets! I refuse to use cork gaskets on anything anymore. I have Felpro rubber gaskets on my 2.9, haven't leaked a drop. -TD

ill keepthat in mind, but since the mechanic is coming out to my job to look at it and fix it, im just gonna do what he says, cause he is the guy who backs up his work.

Good grief, you've got one that makes house calls!!!!! better hold on to him & treat him REAL nice, big time.

Maybe even have him some COOL adult beverage handy, AFTER he finishes the job. lol

naw man.... he's too nice of a guy..... doesnt drink, doesnt smoke, i dont think he even cusses.... but he is one heck of a mechanic. for those of yall who live in the dallas area, he works at christian brothers in garland. real good shop.
