Starting problems
I let my brother use my 88 F-150 5.8 4x4 today and he said all of a sudden it would'nt start so he replaced the starter selaniod now it really will not start unless you cross it I think he's got the wires backwards. I did not see him take it apart so I donnot what goes where. I really need some help I need the truck for work !!!

If your standing at the right fender looking down at the solenoid the ground wire goes to the right post and all other wires go to the left post with the single small wire going to the small post in the middle. Another thing you might do is take a hammer and give the stareter a small tap or two. When they start to older they will sometimes stick and when you tap them it will free it up. It also means that it's about time to replace the starter.
