Hood Latch Cable

My truck has the locking hood with the handle in the cab and the other day the cable broke. I have looked in bronco graveyard, motorhaven, ect and everyone has the latch itself and the locking handle inside the cab, but no one had the actual cable. Does anyone know where I could get the cable? also, i have seen the cable for an 80-86 truck, will that work?

Yes the 80's trucks are the same.

Make sure you don't get one from a van because the cable is shorter.

A locksmith can inter-change the locking tumblers.

The cable is an odd size. I couldn't find it anywhere. I did find cable and swedges at Sears Hardware that was I think 1/32" smaller. Its been working OK. Let me know if you find the exact size.
