Look for a white sticker (tag) on the drives side valve cover. On it
is the buiuld date of your motor

This is weird...I showed my neighbor the sticker on his motor and the date is there....mine just has the big white sticker with a bunch of #'s but no date....wat up wit dat?

I understand from earlier posts that date on the door post is the date the truck was assigned that VIN. I was told by the service advisor who ran my OASIS that my build date on the truck was April 2, 03, engine build was March 27, 03. The date on my door post is April 3, 03. So it is close enough.
