Engine build date after truck build date?

Engine build date after truck build date?
I have an 03 Excursion with the 6.0. The door jab sticker has a build date of 05/03; the ficm sticker says the engine was built on Aug 28 03. Should I be concerned.

no I just bought it a week ago! I just spoke with an avdisor at the ford dealership where I bought it, and he ran an oasis report and found only one minor repair.
They gave me a carfax report and it was clean. However my factory warentee expires on 6/06?

I'd have a sit down with them and find out what the details are then....
something new may be going on....

Even though the build dates are close together could Ford have replaced the engine. But, you'd think there would be OASIS info indicating prior problems leading to possible engine swap.
Just a thought.

Thanks for your replies. What is a DSB? I have an appointment with the service advisor Thur; he is going to check the EIN with the oringinal number.

DSB=Dispute Settlement Board. The suggestion is that you have a truck that was purchased, replaced as a settlement on a dispute settlement.
Don't just deal with the service advisor. They are sailes people for service. Talk with the service manager and find out the history of that truck. The service manager has the ability to make things right.
