I have a 92 ford ranger with no spark from coil to distributor any suggestions. Coil has power on both sides with key on. Changed coil and pickup coil ignition module tests good but no spark please help.
hi and welcome to FTE.
try replacing the ingintion module.it controls when the spark fires.. we also have a forum for rangers, just scoll down more and you'll see lots of good places to visit also where you see user cp , it will show you when poeple reply to your posts.
no if it test ok, but if your not getting spark from the coil, and the coil is good....i would think that the module is toast.... drop by the ranger forum .
now when i did a tune up on my ranger i replaced the coil, module, cap and rotor. i didnt like ford modules, they are prone to giving out at the worst times, like 2am in the middle of no- where........

Im really not to sure about anything about this truck I found it for dirt cheap due to the fact it wouldnt start. Im not sure what type of ignition system it is I mean it has a distributor with pickup coil and no points has a coil, and ignition module. pretty basic I would think. As for the Crank sensor would I be able to see it from the exterior of the motor. Probably in the front correct. Im not too sure about fords this is my first one and ofcoarse its got me stumpt. Any help would be great. Oh and the rotor does rotate
