I am having an issue tracking down correct parts for my truck ever since it developed the common surging idle.
It is a 1990 F150 4X4 5.0 EFI
Calibration Number 0-53E-R00 (This keeps getting me the wrong parts from ford, they don't fit / fix code errors etc)
However apparantly at some point in its life it was swapped / bored out / new cam / heads / MAF conversion
So finally I checked the CPU stuff and it doesn't correspond with my vehicle
The computer pinout now has number E72B–14A624-AA
(Instead of FOTF-12A650-T1A or FOTZ-12A650-TA which is what Ford shows for this Calibration number)
Actual CPU is E8TF-2C018-AA
The local ford store has been nothing but worthless so I am hoping someone can point me in a direction to track this down (to a specific car / year, I secretly hope it is from a mustgang) so I can figure out what parts to get.
Thanks
Joe
if the ecm in there now starts with E7 than i'm pretty sure it cant be a mustang ecm. i'm sure that mustang only started putting MAF in the cars in 89.
i know for sure that in 1987 (E7 means '87) the mustang was not MAF.
