EEC IV computer interchange question
But in any case I called ford dealership and they said the part number isnt made anymore and that they dont have any on hand.
I emailed Cardone who has refurbished units for this year/make/model but none of them are listed to be a replacement for my part number.
So my question is out of the EEC IV computers what would interchange with the one I have?
One I have is part # E8EF-12A650-A1C
The closest one I found from Cardone is listed for says it is a replacement for part # E8EF-12A650-AC
I am not sure if theres a difference between part numbers or if any EEC IV would work long as its for the same engine and transmission setup. I just want to verify before I go buying one that might cause damage to the engine or the computer itself.
I would list the part numbers of what I can get but I cant access the web page as for some reason.
~Update~
Ive read a post that was made on this forum years ago, it was stated that the suffix at the end of the part # is the revision codes. So I just need to find out does the 1 have any meaning. If it has no meaning as the revision code then a AC would be the same as A1C then.
I got one of the sites to work so I can post all the other part #`s that I have avaliable to me.
E8EF-12A650-AA
E8EF-12A650-AB
E8EF-12A650-AC
E8EF-12A650-BA
E8EF-12A650-BB
E8EF-12A650-BC
E8EF-12A650-BD
E8EF-12A650-CA
E8EF-12A650-EA
E8EF-12A650-EB
E8EF-12A650-EC
E8EF-12A650-ED
E8EF-12A650-FC
E8EF-12A650-FA
E8EF-12A650-FB
E8EF-12A650-FC
E8EF-12A650-FD
E8EF-12A650-HA
E8EF-12A650-HB
So out of all the ones above I would assume the AC one would be my best choice but, considering the price and the fact that theres no guarentee I can return it if its not correct I want to be 100% sure of this before I commit to buying.
