Now to your question, tell us something about your truck, what year, what motor what build date.
all the good stuff.

Finally got time to reply. Thanks for asking. I am new to the site and really enjoy all the info so far. I will try to be as helpful as I can as I work on my truck and learn.
Not sure of the engine build date but the driver side door pillar says 04/04. I just got it a week ago.
It is a 6.0 PSD FX4 C/C Lariat w/new wheels that my dealer says he had not seen before. They are five wide spoke 18".
I have a 29' travel trailer for sale and will soon buy my dads 31' w/slide. My dad says my 93 Z71 doesn't have enough oomph to handle the larger trailer.
Bet I can handle it now though.

I just avoid that other site ! Too many malcontents over there

There are some nice folk, but I like this neighborhood a lot more
While I spend most of my diesel time at the other site, I am a member here as well. The oil analysis compilation is open to anyone who owns one of these engines and therefore it is politically correct . All personal information is kept confidential by me and not shared. I don't work for Ford or International. You don't even have to include your real name and address. The only thing that the public sees is the ID such as B001 or A023, although some of the contributors freely admit who they are. Coming out of the closet , I'm A001 on the 7.3l list, and B001 on the 6.0L list.

If you care to take the time and energy to put this together yourself, knock yourself out. I do automotive R&D engineering for a living, so it's not a big deal for me. I'm just trying to help the collective good.

Thumbs up

I would be happy to add it. The more information all of us owners can build together, the more informed we will be. I've tried to make the file into something where it's a good referance for yourself, to look at your own history and chart and comparing to others. There is nothing like getting a high iron or other metals reading and not knowing if it's really OK or not. Right now you have to rely on Blacksone's comments, but with the spreadsheet you can see how your doing based on elements/ppm (oil changes at 4k rather then 7k miles alters the numbers - debris are cummulative).

The speadsheet started with the 7.3L a few years ago in order to see if there were measureable differances between oils, filters, bypass filters, and the results of extended oil changes. It was started due to one of those threads on the other site where they argue alot . OK, me included. As you can tell from my 7.3 results (A001) I played with all initially.

If you all can get some benefit from things I've done and published in my webshots albums, your also welcome to look around there:
