Probably not. Check the tires for a bubble on the tread. Try replacing a wheel with the spare, do each wheel if you have to. If still no luck, probably alignment. Had a wreck?
Could be a bad balance job too... I bought a set of tires at an un-named large discount department store chain once, and I was covered for one free rotation every like 6000 miles I think. Anyway, on one stop I had them rotated and balanced and upon leaving I thought they had forgotten to tighten the lug nuts. After checking that I took it back to them and they had not put wheel weights back on either passenger side tire. They took my old weights off... but never re-balanced them before they put them back on. It might not hurt to have them re-checked.
Like srercrcr said though, could be tire damage also... they'll start to do that before the seperate sometimes. And bad U-joints can cause some serious vibrations too, does it pop or clink if you accelerate quickly from a stop or when you shift for reverse to forward?
IF the tires are OK and balanced, then it's alignment or powertrain.
Next free thing to try is block the front wheels on both the fore and aft side of the tires, then jack up the rear wheels...USE JACK STANDS... so both rear wheels are clearly off the ground, maybe two inches. A level surface is best for this. The parking brake should be off, so don't count on it to hold the car.....the blocking of the front wheels is critical.
Now climb in, put it in drive, the wheels will spin slowly, actually just one rear wheel may turn (separate issue). Get down near the turning tire....does the tire appear round as it turns? If the other wheel isn't turning, spin it by hand. Round? If yes, are you hearing any noises....driveshaft, Ujoint???? DON'T GET UNDER THE CAR.....EVEN IF ON STANDS....WE WANT YOU BACK! Let us know!
