Lets try that again.
A Square bore carb has all 4 throttle plates basically the same size Such as a Holley 4150/4160 or and Edelbrock/Carter AFB/AVS
A Spread bore carb will have 2 small throttle plated in the front and 2 large ones in the rear such as a Carter Thermoquad, Quadrajet, or a 4350 Motorcraft.
I have an edelbrock 4 barrel 1405 carb which would be a square bore. I also have a square bore intake manifold. When I put a spacer in between the two does it need to be a square bore with four seperate holes or can it be an open spacer?
