1988 f150 eec code 67 koeo
Truck won't start, I removed starter wire to starter solenoid,
manually jumped solenoid and then the truck runs.
Once I put it in gear, the truck stalls. I replaced the neutral drive
switch and the starter solenoid, but still the same problem.
A/C was off and fuse removed. WHen I ground the starter solenoid
wire, truck stalls. If I probe any red with blue stripe wire, in the starting
circuit, the truck stalls. Keep getting code 67 which is: neutral drive switch
circuit open. New NDS was checked and adjusted and is working fine.
There is also a code 18: in continous memory mode of koeo which means
high output spark failure.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!
TIA
I fixed it. I found that the distributor module is in the starting circuit.
The electronic control unit is in that same circuit.
So I replaced the distributor module which happens to be the cheaper
part! haha
there was a short to power in the distributor module.
THanks
