Thumbs down Violent Shudder!

I have a '04 F-250 Extended Cab XLT w/ the 6.0 Powerstroke and ever since I bought it there has been a shudder when crusing on flat ground anywhere from 50-75. If you put any kind of load on it, slight up hill grades, or let off the gas it goes right away and it doesn't do it while towing either. Took it back to the dealer and they sat with their thumbs up their butt's for a cupple days finally decideding it was the torque converter. So they replaced that and claimed to have tested it but as soon as I got back on the free way it started doing it again just as before if not worse. Can someone please help me!!!

Thanks,

Dan

Dan, do you have a 4x4? If so, check to see if your hubs are disengaged. I would also be suspicious of the driveline. Check the security of the suspension. It is always possible something was left loose.

Thanks for the welcome Hunter! SBV I do have a 4x4 and my hubs are in the "auto" position. Drive line sounds like a very reasonable thought. Almost positive it isn't suspension because of where the shaking seems to come from (transmission area). The more I think about this problem, the more I think about how bad I got ****ed on this deal! I paid 40,700 for this truck and it doesn't even have leather, it was a lease but thats still a way worse deal then the ones I've been reading about on here. Hopefully those retards down there maybe won't figure out it's the driveline and I can wind up with a buy back :-p

Will do, it goes back to Evergreen Ford in just a matter of hours. I'm glad I got back at the kid that sold me the thing a little. He told me it had keyless entry I just had to buy a 28 dollar remote... No no no.... Anyways, the GM MADE him go in halves with me on a keyless system from whomever I choose. Well on my Yukon (Not a damn problem since new in '97) I had gotten a keyless/remote start system from a local stereo shop so I went back there and we worked it out to where he wouldn't mention the fact that I was also getting remote start :-p. Pocket change...Still makes me feel good though.

LOL it sad that there are salesmen that know less about the vehicles than the common person does, I went to a dealership b4 i bought my 6.0 and they told me it was a 6 cylinder diesel. I laughed in theyre face and left. Thats pretty bad, I will never buy anything from that dealership. THEY NOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! LOL

Welcome Dan....
in regards to you post about what you paid and what you see on here....

Not everything is as it seems :-)
If you're comfortable with the truck and the payment then THAT's all that counts !

Heck, you may make a LOT more money then THEY do and can afford a lot of payment... as far as THEY know, you paid cash out of your pocket change ---
Yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it :-)
