i can't understand why you are all so concerned about being single. i've been single for almost two years, and the only thing i miss is having a boyfriend to wash & wax my truck!

Alright, I'm 37 and single.. Married at 27. That lasted 5 years. I don't think I will ever do that again. I like being single. I've gotten use to doing what I want, and when I want. Look you don't need a girlfriend. Female friends are the best. When they learn your a really nice guy your in. Networking my friend.... They tell their girlfriends and before you know it, you'll have something to do 7 days a week. Trust me on this.. All you have to do is be nice, be yourself, and it doesn't hurt to say hi to as many females that you can. Don't get me wrong, I'm not out there running around with every chick in town, but its nice to have options. This will work...

You simply have to wait until the right one comes along. I was 28 before I married and that was almost 10 years ago and I know I married the right woman. The point is, marrige is no better or worse than who you marry. Getting married just because you are lonely and not picking the right person can lead to hell on earth.

Look at it on the bright side - since you two are getting ready to go into a university look at the odds of things staying together once school starts up. I stuck around for both a BS and masters so I saw it happen time and time again. People come to college, either with someone at that school or enrolled somewhere else. Almost all of em didn't make it through the fall semester together.

And once you get out of school it's so much easier to find somewhere to work when you don't have to worry about trying to wind up in the same town. I know a couple of people that were married and spent the longest time finding work - one of them had a job, the other looked for months so they could both be in Houston.

I'm not really looking for a girl to marry, right now i just want to date someone. What is really getting me right now is when i hear a song that reminds me of her. It will tear me up. I just wish i could make my heart stop liking someone. To answer theshyguy's question yes this college is far away, i'm in texas she is going to New York. Right now i am just hoping for a friendship with her. After she told me she was not going to Lamar we just cinda stop talking to each other. I'm not sure why.

before i ramble on for hours i better stop there.

Chris
