Unhappy The Single Life

As much as i like the single life there are a few thing that can make it a living hell. when you are single you have no one to confide in, no one to love and care for you, no one for you to give your love and compassion to, and no one that you can call at any time to talk to. To tell you the truth, i'm getting sick and tired of the single life. Yet everytime i am this close to having a girlfriend it falls appart. I've never truely dated anyone, and it is starting to eat me up.
I don't know where i am going with this post, but i just needed to vent, so thanks for letting me.

Chris

Hey man, you from Texas, they got lots of purty gals down there....trust me I know, I lived in Deer Park for a loooong time.

I know what you mean though. I have been lucky I guess, been in a relationship for the past 3 years with the perfect gal....

Just give it time though, you WILL find her, weather it be on a bus into houston or on some elevator somewhre, a party you are at, or a old friend. Just keep your eyes and your heart open. Dont be afraid to have it broken, once you find that one, you will realize it was all worth it.

I am getting seperated from the military unvoluntarily, but I know my gal will be there by my side for me. Just give it time man, and hang in there. If you dont ind long distance relationships, I will be living outside of Baton Rouge as of September 15th, so I acn try and find you a gal around there, think that is only 4 hours away...me and my gal whre seperated by farther than that for our first 2 years, and are still seperated by 3 hours.

At there very least I can take a drive and hang out with ya.

Take it from a married man. Enjoy your freedom while you have it. Once you're tied down, especially with kids, you'll wish you had more time (and money) for yourself.

I am in the same situation myself. I'm now 20 yrs old and never really had a serious gf relationship. I feel the same way that you do, almost like loosing hope. It's very depressing sometimes even though I have good friends and have had any other kind of female/male relationship except actually going out and all. It's been over a year since I've gone on a real date, i spent 4 months w/ nothing and then got involved with an old friend which was a nightmare, so I've had stuff keeping me maintained but nothing great. I had a couple potentials during school this year, nothin came out of it. It really ticks me off sometimes but what are ya gonna do. I'm starting to not know what to think about it anymore, I'm not a bad looking guy, I'm athletic and I have my stuff together (I'm not a mess), so i duno why but someday I will figure it out and fix this issue.

Would you mind telling my gielfriend and her family that? They seem hardwired that you have to get married as soon as you are done with college, if not before, no matter what. Their not so subtle hints are driving me crazy.

I'm 37 and never been married and I really don't know that I want to be. I would be open to the Idea if it was with the right women.I broke off a 3 yr shack up in Oct 03. now i enjoy coming and going as i please. I'm currently giving up on the Idea of Love and that mushy stuff and looking for a women to be my best friend. I have come to belive that is the only way to make a modern relationship work and stand the test of time.

for the single men and women out there, trust me when I say" living with or married to the wrong person is a lot worse than being alone!" Enjoy your freedom yet keep an eye out for the right person for you.

Also, do not judge a book by its cover. Yes there is a lot of pretty women in Texas, ( using this as an example) but I would not trade any of them for my wife!!!!

There is no glory being married to a beautiful person when your life is living hell!!

You've got the right idea. I'm 27 and just came out of a 5-year live-in situation that turned bad. I have two younger brothers that got married at 18; what a mess. Maybe someday getting married and having kids is ok but right now my mentality is "I'm glad I escaped it". Now I have plenty of time to work out, fish, and come and go as I please and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

Peies, the good ones are there Ya cant get much prettier than my gal, nor can you find one with a better personality and outlook in life. Perhaps because she neds it, she has had alot of problems when younger, but has managed to get over it and promise to make sure things are better for the rest of her life...and for some odd reason she thinks that is with me :P

p.s. did I mention both me and my gal are from both Texas and Lousiana? She dont mind hunting or fishin either And kinda understands why I have 2 trucks in the front yard that dont run. I owuld not trade her for anything.

As posted, yes being married to the wrong person will be hell. I only see too much of it in the military. But take your time and do enjoy life a little....granted there is some stuff I wish I had done before getting tied down, but no bother, I am better off noow than I would have been if we never got together so.....

Just taje care and have fun right now....your not alot younger than me

Find a hobby (you got a truck). Do what you like to do and someone will come along that wants to do it with you. Probably at the most unexpected time and/or place. That's what makes it exciting.
