Injector 02 F250
I am thinking about buying a 2002 F250 PSD a friend of mine said that they are having problems with the injector after 50,000 miles. He also states that this is not covered under warranty. Can somebody confirm this.

We have had some problems with broken rocker arms but we are out of it now. I am unaware of any problems with injectors and, as far as I know, the engine has a 100,000 mile waranty. Does anybody know if the injectors are covered for 100,000 miles?

All engine parts are covered under the 100000 mile warranty, except the turbo which is only covered for 35000 miles, which means the injecters are covered, you shouldn't have a problem anyway, everyone i know has over 130000 miles on their diesel (99and newer) and has had NO problems whatsoever, we also get 17-20 miles to the gallon with stock engines with 4x4's, unless you are very, very unlucky, your truck will be perfect for over 150000 if you take care of it.

There could be a problem with moisture getting into the system, but there is an update for it, should the truck have any hard start problems. As was said, the injectors would be covered under warranty anyway.
The only problem I have seen on the 2002 models is a couple heater core failures.
There is a recall on the wiper motor and driver's air bag.

Sorry, no URL, but here is the Recall numbers.
You will need to check with your dealer to see if your specific truck is effected. It looks as though the info I had was wrong, I had the 2002 models affected, but it looks as though it is only the 2000 and 2001 models.
