You've updated it yourself recently ?
because the latest tune just came out about a week ago IIRC ...

I would take a moment to just boot it and let it display the first screen to see what version you have...

You are the first to say anything about shift issues...
maybe give Diablo a call - they helped me over the weekend when I first got mine and I did something STUPID while loading it - (we won't go into that !)

I didn't know about the newest tune being released a week ago, does that mean I need to purchase the PC Interface Kit? I liked the power from the 65HP Mode but most of all (by far) I miss the gas mileage increase. Back to 13.1 I go...

Also, thank you for excusing my ignorance when I said I had the newest tune - I was too lazy to boot it up and check (Hey atleast I apoligize when I'm ignorant unlike most of the world)

ignorance is not bad thing - that just means you haven't been exposed to it yet!
No problem...

and when i have to go back to stock it IS a beating !!!

What version do you see when it boots up ? I venture to say it is less than r33 ...

as far as the pc interface kit... not necessarily - do u have a laptop ?
if so, all u need is a cable from radio shack - (and they do sell the power supply as well!)

piece of cake to do it after you are comfortable with it...

I'll check the version later today, maybe tonight even. I was driving the truck earlier and it was like a dream...it shifted so smoothly at any RPM, it was great, where as if I had it at part throttle with the Predator it would throw me back in my seat on the 1-2 shift. I like being thrown in the seat, don't get me wrong, but when you have one of those days when you're real beat up and tired you wish your truck was a pillow on wheels.

Thanks for the help

Then the only flash you are missing is the r34c which had minimal changes...
Suggest you research the upgrade cable and power supply - rumor has it Diablo is going to release an upgrade to counteract the competition...

The diablo DOES have crisp shifts...
I like it - less wear and tear on the auto clutches, better performance, better fuel mpg...

Years ago, I tore down my autos to put shift kits in to firm up the shifts !

Alright, I'll be heading to Radio Shack soon to get the supplies. Thanks a lot, I'll probably bump this thread in the future to tell you/everyone if it made a difference and fixed the problem.

I spent $67.54 at Radio Shack getting a USB to DB9 Serial Cable, 12v DC 500mA Adapter, and the plug I need to run power to the predator. I got all of what I need from Diablosport's Website and I got it installed as the newest tune V. 7r34c and I will install it later tonight and see if I still get the transmission problem. Hopefully when I teach the transmission the power this time it'll be a little better.

Make sure to read the manual. There is a little misinformation in there. but, they talk about the transmission and its need to "learn" just like it says in the Ford owner manual.

Good luck !!
I drive around in the 65hp mode ALL the time.... and love it...

Shifts great - goes great - AND betta mpg !!!

If this doesn't get you happy again - give them a call @ diablo
-very helpful to me when I first got it and we were all still learning it...

I've been driving like a grandpa...in fact over the past couple days I don't think I've gone over 2200RPM. I'll post again if there is an issue, but thanks to everyone for all of your assistance!
