changing oil
Schucks Auto Supply takes and disposes of used motor oil for free. All you have to do is get it there. I like to buy my oil in the 5qt. containers so that I can pour the old oil back into it and seal it with the lid. Schucks is known by other names depending on what part of the country you live.
i just use a funnel and dump it back into the oil bottles i just emptied into the truck, then hold it in my garage till i can take it somewhere.....
also most important tip when changing oil: DO NOT FORGET to replug the drain, or ull have a few quarts of brand new oil in your garage or on your driveway, ive alreadyt done it once, and its not good when u have a truck half full of oil and need to go get more
and let the truck cool a bit if u just ran it before u change it, ive also learned that hot oil is not nice to your skin.

Go out and run the truck befor changing, the oil may be hot but it flow freely and will leave less gunk in the pan. And after filling remember to start the truck and look underneath for any oil leaks. Then turn off truck and recheck oil level.

watch out with the oil out of the guns at the quick lube places, I work at a quick lube right now and what comes out of the gun is pennzoil conventional motor oil but the owner of the store is contemplating changing to a cheaper brand, I've even heard talk about a company that suppossedly will sell us recycled oil. ewww.
