No but they are probaly pretty good machines. My buddy just bought a miller 175 mig and it is a very good machine and they are on sale for around $600.00 and well worth the money because it will weld up to a 1\4 inch if this helps.
WOW 600 for the Miller 175 is good. I was at a welding display today put on by Miller and they had the smaller 135 mig on for $900. I tried it.....LOVED it gotta get one.
tell ya what do yourself a favor and dont get the cambell hausfield welder,
get a little hobart their little buzzbox welder's are impressive as well as their
mig's. A guy that works with my dad has one of them cambell hausfelds and he
said its ok but he shoulda got the hobart b/c it is way more adjustable as far
as heat range and wire speed adjustement. hope this help's you.
I bought 2 welders from the local tractor supply but they were both Century. Is it the same TSC Farm and Home? The first was an 85 amp set up for shielded flux. Never liked it cause the welds were always so dirty from splatter. But with a gas kit it was really smooth and clean.
Next one was a 105 Amp with *infinite* heat selector set up for gas. I liked the 85 amp with gas better than this one (probably cause I don't really know how to make use of this one.)
What i dislike about both is the electrode is always hot when the machine is on. Others like Lincoln are only hot when you press the trigger.
When i was selling the 85 amp in a garage sale for 150 a says you can by a bigger one a HB FR8 for 130.00. Yeah you can but it's a 10% duty cycle not 20%. At least the Century was a 20%
I just bought a hobate arc welder the other day form tracter supply. For about $350 AC/DC and it is great. I am an industral welder and work with all kinds of welders and I was happy with the welder I was pretty impeased with it's duty cycle and at arc starting voltage....Just my 2 cents
thanks for all the info everyone. as usual it is very helpful. I think i might wait until i can spend a little bit more and get a hobart instead of the farmhand, which is made by campbell hausfield. Thanks again.
