drivetrain question

How can I determine the rearend that is in my truck? The tag on the pumpkin cover is rusted pretty badly.The tag on the door jam has a number 29.It is an 89 f250,8 lug.Thanks.

take and jack up the rear end put the trannie in neutral spin one tire 360 degrees slowly and count how many times the driveshaft spins. its not exact but then just take it and compare it to normal ford gearing and you should be able to figure it out
