i read that this morning, i say give me a break, one day schools will actually educate kids and not try to instill their so called social values into them, thats what parents are for.
i hate the US school system, thats why my kid won't ever go to one.
My kids school won't allow juice (apple or orange) in the lunches - too much sugar. But demands healthy snacks. No chips or cookies. No cupcakes can be sent in for a kid with a birthday -- send carrot sticks instead. Bla bla bla.
I think your reading TOO much into it. The article I read said any UNSUPERVISED chase game. Do you expect your kids to be unsupervised at a school? If they would be, I think there would be bigger problems. They have at least as much to worry about with kids running into traffic, playing the game, as they do hurting each other.
Mistakes are made to be learned from, supervision is there to point out mistakes and push moral values (value of human life).
If a teacher is out there, they could play it, from the way I read it.
That's what you get when a bunch of sue happy idots go after the school district when their kid comes home with a scratch. School districts fear the liability.
