Why does post count seem important?
My compliment was sincere. You're very welcome.
BTW it is an interesting question, that has had some interesting replies.
I love this place!

Well, I guess I'm the wino then, because I don't have too many posts. A ha, I just added to the post totals.....boy, I can't wait to get my PhD.
Did you really let your wife know that you don't have all of the answers?
Just kidding you guys. I have had a blast mostly reading the posts on this board. I have learned so much in very little time and have done a few repairs to my truck that in the past wouldn't have done(mostly because of fear of the unknown). I have most of the mechanical tools and a mechanical mind, but by reading and asking questions, this gives the other tools to get the job done.
Ken, thanks for the board and everybody else, thanks for your help and insight.
I get a lot out of this forum -- like chatting over the fence with a neighbor who knows a lot more than I do. Once in a while, if I can, I'd like to help him out. If I can't, he'll understand; if I can, I feel that I have done SOMETHING to keep the relationship going. The post count gives you a sense of that SOMETHING that you have done.
Anyway, that's how I think people use the count.
You big posters: Thanks, you're a big help.
You little posters: Thanks, don't let the big posters scare you out of helping me and others like me (and maybe even the big posters).
You moderators: Thanks, I know this is extra work.
Ken Payne: Just plain THANKS, guy!
