yea, well here in kansas we havnt got a real rainstorm (.10 or more) in over 1 and a half years. the economy sucks so bad and very few smaller farms are left.. were lucky so far but there is very little ground water now... 10 years kansas will be a desert

With all this talk of rain on the tv today, we hardly got any. It hardly rains out in the hills to the west/southwest of San Marcos it seems.
It sure got humid enough. This week I've been out back with the pickaxe, digging holes for fenceposts around the garden. We're putting up a big chain link fence to keep the deer out. I'm sinking em about 18-24 inches into the ground... well into the nearly solid rock.
