disable start

I need to disable my truck from starting.

Forever ? For one day ? One time ? Please elaborate so you can get some suggestions. Manual tranny or auto ? Are you leaving it somewhere for a length of time ? Explain please.

Is it one of those, "Hey, my ex still has a key and wants to "borrow" it"?

A friend of mine in that predicament had a jeep once and installed a toggle switch in the ignition system.

All you need to do is install a kill switch and hide it somewhere in the cab under the dash that you can reach. The hard part is just locating the correct hot wire underneath the dash that is running power to your ignition.
