I recently purchased a '91 extended to replace my '90 extended Eddie Bauer which had its body "modified" by a careless driver.
The '91 has a part under the hood that is located on the passenger side and attached to the sheetmetal. It is about halfway between the air cleaner and the AC accumulator. It is an electrical component (has several wires leading in to it) and looks like a big heat sink (approx 3 x 5). My '90 does not have this part (at least not in the same location.
Any educated guesses out there?????
As a second question: My '91 Aerostar wiring and vaccum trouble shooting manual shows the "Daylight Running Lights Module" as "Canada Only". Did they not have the DRL option available in the states?
Uh oh! I assumed cookkd had a 4.0 version. If he has the 3.0 then reever is probably correct. The 'heat sink' clue should have tipped me off. My humble apology for any misleading information and a big dope slap for me!
Man, This is the greatest site on the net....Info about Aerostars and all versions of Ford trucks, engines, whatever. I'm even blabbering about the Stanley Cup finals over on the G.C. board.....I rellay "Dig" this place....
