I woke up at 2:00 this morning and couldn't breath. About an hour later not much had changed so I went to the emergency room. I think it's time to stop eating so much crap and drinking so much coke. Anyways, sometimes I just feel sorry people that have it so much worse than I did. Anyhoo, thought I'd drop the line.
Glad you're OK. Also glad you recognize that you need to do something different about your lifestyle. Changing is easy, sticking with it can be difficult, but it's better than the alternative.
Haven't figured it out yet...it's been a week today.
Since it happened I've felt really weak and dizzy constantly. I haven't eaten or drank anything bad since then though. I think my body is just going through withdrawals while at the same time fighting off this...stuff. I do feel much better today though. I took the day off and rested a bit. Going to get my blood sugar tested tomorrow. I'll let ya know how it turns out.
I felt that way about this time one morning and got my wife to take me to the E/R and found that I had a heart attack.
Stress and fast food.
My Doc is gonna do another stress test in June.
I don't believe I had a heart attack because the ER Dr found nothing. He just referred me to a cardiologist (which I'm not going to). I went to my family Dr. first and he did some tests. I'm patiently awaiting the results. I did a 'food fast' test for blood sugar and had an echocardiogram done. I'll let ya'll know...the strange thing is this though...
2 weeks ago I weighed 238 pounds. Today (2 weeks after incident) I way 217 pounds, tested on 3 different scales. I didn't hardly anything the first week in happened. I ate a lot more this week and it was ALL real healthy stuff...pretty much no fat. I haven't had a Coke in 1 1/2 weeks, and I used to drink 2 to 3 per day. . .
