I make them sign it for 90+ chips because some chip dealers will do anything for a sale even if it means putting the customers at risk. I don't like selling the 90+ chips, and the customers MUST be aware of the inherant risks.

I don't think he's here from Ford. We thousands of page hits per from Ford proxies, not just from one user.

I've sold a lot of chips, have worked with another very high volume dealer who believes in the same principles as I and neither of us has had a customer with chip related failure. I'm one of Diablo's higher volume dealers and this other dealer is prehaps their highest volume dealer.
I have, however, heard of problems, not from my customers, but here and on F-D about problems due to Ford's crappy transmission shudder (in stock and chipped applications) in small number of Powerstrokes and Lightnings. Also, when people try to tow more than the truck is supposed to tow.
Oh... please spare me the attorney remarks, you're a guest here. All I did was modify the Superchips racing chip form to include information about extreme chips. I didn't go consulting with an attorney, thank you.
Why are you jumping on Ken?
As he said, we all are guest here and most of us know (or should) when we push the limits that we may pay the price. Come on buddy, chill and enjoy the week end.
I've been thinking about buying a chip, but I too was concerned about the ability of the auto to handle the additional torque. I tow my current boat (about 6500 lbs) and plan on buying a bigger boat (10,000 lbs). Will it be okay to put a chip in if I'm towing these kinds of loads. I do live in AZ... lots of mountains.
Thx,
