Satellite dish question
I have 2 receivers hooked up to one dish with a dual LNB. Can I use a cable splitter to hook up a 3rd receiver or do I need to put up another dish?

no you can not ,a satilite signal is a digital stream of information a cable signal is an analog signal. an analog signal can be split and the information will go to the splits just in a lower signal strength(which normally does not affect it enough to be a problem unless you split it like 8 times)when you split a digital signal you send half of the stream down each split which screws it up not to mention a sat signal operates at a much higher frequency. to split a sat signal on a dual LNB system you have to get a "multiplexer" in has two inputs for the lines from the sat and four lines out for conection of up to 4 boxes. you can get em at radio shack, they are kinda pricy $50-$75
