I have a 2001 F350 psd 4x4. Is there a problem with the door sensors, because one other truck we test drove had this warning on? Also, where are the door sensors?
The door sensors are located on the actual door latch, there on the back of the door. You have to take off the door panel on the inside and get in the door to get to it. I've changed mine before because of that problem. It is fairly common that they go bad.
Do a search in this forum for that, and you'll find a lot of threads related to it.
A lot of people try squirting it with oil, but I think it's almost making it worse. Dust will stick to the sensors and everything else. It'll work for a while, but I'd suggest changing them soon, just to solve the problem.
i have the same problem on my 2002. its a crew cab, so i dont know which door its coming from i have tried to spray Gibbs in the latch area, ill go back with WD-40 and try again. open and close the dooor 10-20 times and see if it works.

I had the same problem as you. Soaked down the latch on the driver's door (that's which one it was the last time) a few times before I figured out it was the back door.

I also ahd the problem and fixed it with WD40, been over a year now so I don't think the problem of dust and gunk is making it worse. A lot cheaper than removing the door panels and possibly breaking something.
BAsically what you have to do is wash away all the grease and grime causing the switch to stick. So yes, good advice is to spray generously. Since WD40 doesn't leave a heavy grease behind it is a good choice for this problem. After you ahve sprayed generously you still could have a bad switch.
