I guess it depends on how hard you plan on running it. My 428 CJ has ALL original bolts in it. I turn it 6000 rpm, but not all day, everyday. It should last forever.
Now, if you want some MORE security, then either put NEW bolts in it, or studs. My race car has all the good stuff, but it gets used to the extreme its every waking moment.
It's your choice. There is ONE added thing that you will need done beside a line hone. The rear cap will need machined (counterbored) for the nuts. It's simple operation, but needed to clear the oil pan.
