carb identification

Hello , It's the science or cams guy again. I am trying to get more accurate information on the truck's overall setup. My truck has a 352 from an unknown doner and a reman carb that looks rather new. The only identifyable thing on the 2 barrel carb is a underlined 6 or 6. I hate not having good numbers to go by and I'd like to try to find specs and tuning tips for the carb. btw I rebuilt a mystery carb this winter for the fun of it. It has no proper model number either but it does have a ornate 7 on it, both numbers underneath the bowl. Maybe they just kept things too simple back then. anyone with any common sense knows 7 is bigger than 6 so 7 should be better (hahaha.) Anyone who can make an educated guess on the manufacturer and model number (unless it really is just #6 and #7) please let me know. Just to let you know I'm trying to get better economy and knowing the cfm's and set up procedures might help. Thanks again.

Ok for the autolite 2bbl there are 3 numbers on the drivers side of the carb bowl on the out side. Its like 121, you can't miss them. Then go to the carb section and the have the autolite listings based on the numbers mentioned above. I think 121 is 324 cfm off the top off my head but anyway try looking for these 3 numbers.

great advice but bad news

Thanks for the post. I now have both good and bad news. The good news is both are identified. I went out in rain last night with a flashlight and raised the hood. The bad news is there both 480 cfm. I thought those three numbers were just casting numbers. That explains why the 352 doesnt run hard and fast. None the less I really appriciate the post. Thank you.
