Replacement Leather Seats for 1995 EB

My '95 EB leather seats are wearing thin (rips and tears). I have seen other threads with questions about replacement seats, but I haven't read many responses from people who have actually replaced their seats. I know with alot of work just about any seat can be made to work. But has anyone replaced their seats with Expedition, Super Duty, other types of leather seats, and if so was it a bolt in job or major mods necessary? Thanks!

Yeah I hear ya dkl. I've wondered about using new fangled Explorer Sport seats, b/c of the obvious design points they share with the Bronco. The ES seats have the same basic look of the late Broncos...so in theory they should work well. -BBB (Sweet, post 800...post 1,000 here I come.)

Calling all Ford Dealer parts guys!!!

I checked with ford parts still have seat foam available but no seat covers.
I plan on getting estimate for recover soon, hope they can match I don't really want to do whole interior . Driver's side seat bottom is only part really bad.
I saw a set tan Eddie Bauer on Ebay like 600 bucks.
If anybody has any ideas let us know.
Does anbody know if Explorer seats are the same maybe they are still in parts inventory.

I would think it would be way cheaper to get them re-upholstered, but I have never priced either. Check around at junk yards for the original seat.
Summit has some seats in their catalog but I have no idea what applications they work for, although, I'm pretty sure I saw adapters in there too.

Good Luck! Let us know what you find...

Checked at Evergreen Auto in Snohomish,WA this weekend for seat, Front Bronco... $250. for the pair out of a 94-95... brown leather.

Leather on these was intact but in need of a really good cleaning, but the driver's side was worse than the one in mine... as well mine be gray! Seemed a *bit* high?

Anyone needs a phone number for 'em.. sing out.

Do a search - old posts discuss different seats that bolt in or need minor mods. Bigger issue is whether seat can be flipped forward for access to get into back seat in our 2-door trucks.

A year or so ago a guy was on here with an 89 or so bronco, I don’t think he’s around anymore, but he swapped in power leather explorer seats. He did a write up too. He used explorer seats because they folded forward for the two door versions. I’ll try and find it.

Here it is.

Most trim and upholestry shops can redo the leather, most can redo the whole seat or just split the seams and replace pannels. DW

screwy,
I remember reading that thread sometime, that guy sure did work over his Bronco. Overall, it is a very clean and subtle looking mod. -BBB

I just don't like the lack of armrests. I was thinking of just swaping in the gizmos and stuff from the explorers and keep the old seats. But I too am in need of a new seat cover.

Thanks for everybody's replies and input. I'm going to check out the upholstery shops and the junk yards. I'm like you Screwy, I want to keep the arm rests that the Explorer seats don't offer and that is why I had asked about Expedition and Truck seats. Anyway I'll let everybody know what I find, but it might take some time, we have a 4 month old lil' girl who is stealing my attention away from the Bronco.
