i was driving down the road and pushed in the clutch to change gears and the clutch went to the floor and just stayed there i had to reach down there with my hand to make it come back up.it is a 99 PSD and i just had a clutch put in it about a month ago. my friend thinks it might be the slave cylinder. Any suggestions??
Could be either the master cylinder or the slave cylinder. Check your fluid level in the master cylinder. If it is empty, refill, try to pump it up and look for a leak. Whoever did your clutch job may have caused a leak in the line or at the slave cylinder.
Only 2 things cause your problem, hydraulics and a broken clutch fork. When you had your clutch replaced, did the shop replace the fork. Ford has a updated style fork for all trucks up to 06/00. The original fork was prone to collapse.
