A/C works then it doesn't
Sometimes when I turn on the air conditioner it works fine and sometimes it doesn't work at all. It blows air but not cold air. Any ideas as to what's wrong?

On the passenger side near the firewall you will find the accumulator tank for the air conditioner, and acrewed onto that tank is the cycling switch. Just unplug it when the ac isnt running with the AC turned on and engine running and with a piece of wire stripped at both ends, jump the two pins inside the wiring plug that you remove from the switch. This bypasses the switch and tells you if the switch is what is preventing the compressor from engaging. If the compressor then engages and the AC gets good and cold you can replace the switch on the tank and see if all is restored to normal. Sometimes those switches will work till they have cycled on a few times and then give out.
