A/C compressor bracket confusion
Ok heres what I got. I rebuilt this 1980 255cid and had to piece all the brackets for the altenator and power steering pump together because it was a scrapped engine. Well I want to remount the ac compressor but cannot figure out how it is mounted. It has a bracket still mounted to the compressor but there is also this huge semi flat plate that some of the holes line up on. I have stared at this thing for days and have come up with nothing. If anyone can help me out or point me in the direction of some diagrams I would really really appreciate it. The flat plate has the coil mounted on the back of it and there is a small pulley with adjusment groves in it also.

Well it has it, i think if you could find a truck close in year and look at it, what i see is its mounted on the dr. side above the p/s, also this unit it an after market unit. good luck
