250 vs 350 Differences
Very nice setup!!. Truck does look very level when hooked up. What is your truck specs? What kind of performance/mpg do you see, mods, etc? What trailer are you using?
By saddles it looks like yo're into endurance riding? Where are you located? That is the reason for me getting the PSD. We are getting back into ER after 15 year absence.

Trailer is a Sundowner Valulite 727 3 horse slant with front and rear tack rooms, extra drop down bars so we can have the windows open for ventaltion but no horse heads sticking out, Escape door in stall #1. Trailer weight is 4000, 23 feet long, front tack has a 50 gallon water tank

All that is asked, is to do a SIMPLE search about a question that you may have. If you don't find the answers, then post the question.
These trucks have been around since 99, just about everything that you could think of has been covered.
By doing a search first to find your answer, bandwidth is saved by not cluttering the forums with repetitive basic questions.
I believe it was attitudes and responses like Monsta's that contributed to the shut down of the OTL.
I believe there was a little more to the demise of the OTL forum than a response like this. With 9 posts under your belt, and to say what you are saying now, I think maybe it was users like you that contributed to the shut down of the OTL.
If the original thread starter didn't have a problem with his response, why should you since it wasn't directed at YOU.
If this bothers you, or you take offense to it, maybe you shouldn't be on the internet.
There are 3 differences between the SRW 250/350...
1) F-250 vs F-350 badges
2) 2" rear spacer block in 250 vs 4" in the 350
3) Weight capacity listed on sticker inside driver's door... 8,800 lbs vs 9,900 lbs.
Everything else is the same... Even the mysterious hook in the dash is rated for the same capacity!

There is not actual specification that I can find on the springs that gives load or lbs/in other than "computer selected". However considering the F350 is rated higher, I am going out on a limb to say the springs are heavier. Addtionally, I can notice a difference driving the two. The 4 inch blocks aren't going to do that to the ride.

I don't know why some of you guys won't belive past posts taken from Ford literature. The springs are the same. Of course you will notice a difference driving the two because the F350 is sitting up much higher in the rear. A level truck will always ride smoother than an unven truck which is why a lot of guys level their trucks. F350 should be a rougher ride because of the height difference.
This information on the springs is based on FACTS from a Ford publication, not speculation.
OK guys let's not get hostile.
Actually I was a little surprised that a moderator made that comment but I've been around computers and BBSs since way before forums so I just let it pass.
I have been lurking at FTE for quite a while (1 month) and gleaning as much info as I could gather before posting. So far I've found FTE pretty much one of the best compared to other truck forums. Most posts to the point w/some wandering but not to much.
The reason I did org post was because there is a lot of contray info in eariler posts and nobody seems to have the "definitive" or "final" answer. Even though 7.3s & new body style have been around since '99, manuals get superseded and experience from buyers can confirm or disprove info as time goes on. My intention in the orig post was to get accurate info on suspension and ride heights between 250/350 2wd/4wd. Maybe I should have been a little clearer im my orig question.
Maybe what would help alleviate some of the repetitive questions is a forum list for "most ask questions" I have seen this used quite effectivly at othe sites. New users could then rely on the answers in the list to be "accurate" and up to date. I don't want to belabor the issue any more since this thread has gotten off subject. Since I started this mess as far as I'm concerned you can close this thread.
Hopefully I will meet many nice people here in the coming months and gather as much info as possible. Also share my own experences once I get my own PSD.
