Does anyone know where to purchase a conversion bracket for a Saginaw or equivelent pump to a 400ci motor? Or even a bracket from a junk yard that is close enough for minor modifications. My stock pump has to go!

Chad, check your junk yard for a Ford van (late 70's and I think early 80's) with a 400. Many of the vans used Saginaws so if you can find one the brackets will bolt right up. 400 is the same block and brackets as a 351 (Cleveland I think) so there should be quite a few of them around.
351c pumps pivit, there set up is different than a 400. Some 70's G.M. pumps will bolt right into the 400 inner bracket take the pully off and remove 3 bolts & bolt in the G.M. pump. Sorry I cant tell you the exact year & model it came from, I found mine already off in a pile of them.
Look for a lincoln from 79 or so that had hydro-boost brakes. They all have the saginaw along with all the brackets you need. There's a 79 versailles in the local yard here that has a 400 in it with the pump and all the hoses. Everything looks like it would bolt right in to a truck.
I haven't had any luck with the bracketry from cars. I've pulled several different Lincolns apart (this is for a 460 mind you, could be different) with identical engines to mine and can't get it to fit in the truck. But the vans use the same brackets as the trucks. Check around, they should be easy to find.
Saginaws are available in pretty much every GM vehicle but it'll be a guessing game with the brackets. Mark, which model 351 is the same as a 400? I know one of them uses the same block but can never remember which.
I got mine (a Sag pump) last week and I was wonderin if the lines will thread into my stock gear box or do i need to get an adapter of some sort. I can make my own bracket so that's not a problem.
Jason, I'm not 100% certain on this so I guess my opinion won't help too much but when I put them up side by side with my regular pump they looked identical. I will have to get new hoses though since mine won't stretch far enough.
