If one is bad, the rest are too, or not far behind. If you are keeping the truck, I would suggest changing all four while you are there. I'm getting ready to replace all four on my plow truck (83 Ranger). Paid about $125 for the joints. Never done this before, so I'm guessing 8-10 hours and a couple of busted knuckles. A shop set up to do it will be more efficient, but they usually quote by the book. You should be able to get an estimate from a shop. Just a guess: $300 to do one; $600 to do all 4. Let me know if I blew it on this one. Thanks.
Not exactly ripped off. Things are a lot more expensive where I live. You just get used to it. I changed all 4 yesterday. Took about 6 hours, but after doing it once, I guess I could do all of them in about 4 hours. And no busted knuckles!
hey, I need to replace my 96 F150's balljoints but I can't find a place online or in Calgary to buy them yet. Anyone know of a good place to buy them, would probably need to be able to fax/phone in to order since don't like giving credit card out over the internet. thanks.
