How do I replace the doorglass weatherstripping?
Can describe how it is done on 65, but not sure if simular. Had to remove window. On 65 there is a retainer clip that holds the roller assembly onto window regulator. Once roller is removed window can be lowered to bottom of door. I removed in order to form the replacement, helps prevent crimping the weatherstrip. Would assume by 92 ford came up with preformed kits. With window resting at the bottom, or removed, the end of weatherstip lifts out of the guide at the bottom edge. There should be clips along the weatherstrip that snap in/out of corresponding holes along the door channel. Would first look at replacement and see if simular, also can determine where clips are located. Carefully pull out of hole to prevent paint damage. If 92 has anti rattle strips, and are weathered, this would be time to replace. Although, they can be difficult and may want to leave well enough alone. Anyhow, replacement weatherstrip on 65 have clips that correspond w/ inserts along door channel. Snap in and done. Worked from top edge.
Not sure if any help, pehaps another member will provide up to date info. Would not purchasing generic replacement, the kits specific for your truck should not require any adjustment.
good luck,
dave
