1988 CF7000 question

The ad I'm looking at says 6 cyl. deisel... what engine did ford use around that time in the larger trucks?

Any reason I should avoid that series??

1988 CF7000 question

It could be a 6.6 or 7.8 Ford inline 6 engines they were used quite a bit in these Ford COE trucks.

Thanks, I searched the archives and I see that they were made in brazil!

Can parts still be bought for that engine?

1988 CF7000 question

I have been running an 88 L-7000 for a little while now w/a 6.6l(401cid) turbo diesel. This truck has some power! No real probs w/ it, but one of the morons I work with put gas in it. It still runs, just blows oil smoke, but no idle probs.
