lower gearing

Want to put a 6.32 to 1 t-18 behind a 289 ford v8 any ideas where I would find the correct bellhousing? What years did ford put a 289 or 302 with a t-18 or t-19 transmission?

late 70s and 80s, Ford used the T18 and T19 (relatively hard to find) behind 302s. That's some serious gear reduction. Are you planning to run a 205 and twin stick it?

You can use the same bellhousing from a 300 or a 351W too. I would look in the 80s trucks, since they used the correct bellhousings since they ran these engines.

T19s are harder to find indeed. Externally you can id them by the extra pto port. Different gearing and synchroed first but just as stout as the '18. I prefer the np-435s.

If you are looking for a t-19, you're only going to find them behind 460 powered f-250s (and I believe f-350s).

If you want a np435, you can find them in almost any 4x4 manual F-150s built in the early 80s.

And I'm pretty sure you can interchange any SBF bellhousing regardless of the tranny.

I can find one in my backyard if you're interested SBF manual bellhouing that was behind a 300 w/ a mechanical clutch and in front of a T-18.
